ANJELIQUE garners 3 nominations for the 39th Annual Tejano Music Awards

Sweetwater- October 15, 2019– Anjelique, a West Texas Tejano Singer, Songwriter and Performer has been nominated for the 39th Tejano Music Awards which include the categories: Best New Female Artist, Best New Group and Collaboration Song of the Year with Tejano Icon and friend Shelly Lares. Anjelique also submitted her video Amigos for the Video of the Year Category which features Ben Ozuna who won the Best New Male Artist in 2017. Anjelique has been nominated in the Best New Female Artist category five times and making it to the Top 5 three of the years.

Anjelique has been in the Tejano Music business for 20 plus years. She and her band have traveled across Texas and California as well as performing in Las Vegas for the Tejano National Music Convention on the All-American Shelly Lares Showcase multiple years. Anjelique released her 3rd Album Proposito which include songs La Otra, Amigos, Amen and Yo Te Extraiiare. Anjelique will have the opportunity to sing the powerful duet Yo Te Extraiiare at the Tejano Music Awards alongside Shelly Lares, who graciously took it upon herself to include Anjelique in her performance time.

The Sweet City Band includes her Husband and Manager Sammy Alvarez Jr., sons Isak and Ryan Alvarez, lifelong friends Estevan Cerda, Jimmy Garcia and Ramiro ‘Poly’ Herrera. Anjelique also bas a full merchandise booth which her father in law Sammy Alvarez Sr, mother in law Delia Alvarez and youngest son Diego Alvarez operate at each event.

Anjelique credits her Sweet City Band for having her back for many years and keeping her music passion alive. Anjelique was asked ‘If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be? She replied, ‘Always be kind, the world needs more kind people.
