Shopping in Sweetwater offers a wide variety of choices-from antiques to national franchise retailers.
The retail climate at SH70 and I-20 (Exit 244) continues to experience the city’s greatest growth with the addition of the Wal-Mart Supercenter, Tractor Supply Company, Aarons, Rent-A-Center, and Cato’s. Located just west of the bustling I-20 epicenter is Dandy Western Wear (at Exit 242), a Sweetwater tradition since 1970, Sweetwater TA Travel Center, Love’s Truck Stop and Lati’s Pottery Pig.
Other well-known retailers are located throughout the Sweetwater business districts including; Dollar General, Anytime Fitness, Hibbett Sports and Higginbotham-Bartlett in the Nolan County Plaza shopping center at Hailey and Broadway. On north Hailey (Bus. 70) at 14th Street, the Hillcrest Shopping Center features Maloney Pharmacy and Sweetwater Frame & Gallery. Some of the other retailers located on Broadway include McDorman’s Furniture & Appliance, Family Dollar, Brookshire’s, Bealls, Goodwill Industries and Redneck Chic Gifts & Boutique.
Lamar Street (SH 70) also offers shopping choices; including Gems-N-Gold Jewelry, Michael’s Music, The Medicine Place, Side Effects, Havner’s Flea Market, TJB Outdoors, 99 Cent Store & More, Sweetwater Floral and Greenhouse, and Lulu’s Super Mercado.
Antique stores flourish in the downtown historical district, including Kargo’s Antiques, Arlene’s Bookstore & Antiques/Second Hand Rose Resale Shop, and Raybell’s Rat Row Antiques & More.
Other retailers in the downtown district include The Open Window, Dale Martin & Son appliances, Latria’s, Nolan Furniture, Flower Box, and Bee’s Décor & Paradise Boutique.
